Community Model Concept

Picture
Marathon Bio-Diesel provides a blueprint model with each MBD Processor licensed for operation. A community team, of like minded establishments, working as a single unit is the successful approach. Each community may have its own specific agenda... but the the focus is always (the locally produced) WVO to a Certified clean fuel, made available for the community use. By doing so, jobs are created and revenue is kept within the local economy, not to mention an over-all improvement in the environment's air quality. No matter how you look at it, the community model makes much more sense than the present business as usual approach where the WVO departs the community and is ultimately sold off to China, or who knows where... having no benefit what-so-ever for the local community.

In addition, Marathon Bio-Diesel makes available to restaurants, resorts, housekeeping and office cleaning services, public works, emergency response, retail outlets and the general public, a line of non-toxic, bio-degradeable cleaning products and glycerin soap.

Marathon Bio-Diesel, as a community recycler of certified B-100 biodiesel, has partnered with Sanctuary Friends Foundation of the Florida Keys (SFFFK), a 501c3 non-profit organization. Both MBD and SFFFK have similar visions in terms of recognizing the need to implement an eco-friendly program where all participants involved enjoy benefits of one sort or another. The donor restaurants and resorts receive a quantitave analysis of their WVO donation at the end of each year for tax liability deductions (IRS 8283). The community's local economy benefits by retaining the revenue flow and the increase of local jobs, and the environment of course benefits by realizing less associated contaminets from the otherwise burned petro-diesel. Pretty much a No-Brainer when you compare this working model to the present day business as usual approach, sending the WVO off to an exporter, where there is no benefit for the community.

If you are a Florida Keys restaurant owner, and are interested in becoming an active partner, please download the Donor Agreement and follow the directions, or contact Marathon Bio-Diesel.
